Blackpepper’s websites are conceived and built as a purpose of content. This means that any technological or creative option is conditioned to what the website is supposed to carry in terms of tools, design and options. Mostly powered under WordPress, designs can be in a variable range customised: some are designed from A-Z, other only chosen from a library to keep budget on iconography search and writing. All of the websites are documented in order to ease client’s takeover and webmastering. A maintenance cahier des charges can be added.

Branding is the Blackpepper’s key skill, Designs always follow objectives, and are set to respect the institution’s goals: in some cases, they are built from scratch, in other cases only tuned up in order to keep up with future – stylistic, technological, semantic imperatives – without being hardly noticed that a change has been made on them. But all of them are made up bringing the institution to be sensefully adressing to their audiences. Objectives can be long or short term. It can happen that searching for a design, thinking brings to the decisions that event the name has to be changed.

Human 4 Human – centre de bien-être

Human4human health and wellness center was developed using popular tools: existing website model and free-of-rights images. Ensentially, time was spent chosing the exact right existing theme, and customising it with iconography, for which art direction was useful not only to find the right illustration images, but to obtain a specific atmosphere and a visual unity. Specific simple tools were implemented in order to make the website a dynamic tool for the book of the various center’s health and wellness activities. A blog and calendar was set to emphasise search engine optimisation. Day-to-day assistance is provided to help authors to be progressively and completely autonomous in their communication and customer relations management tools.

OrTra santé social – comics exposition at Plainpalais

Indoor opening of outdoor comics exhibition…

To fullfill OrTra institution’s overall health professions promotion goal, an exposition was organised on the Plaine de Plainpalais, preceded by an exhibition opening at the OFPC. The studio was hired for both parts: provide sound system and organise this exhibition opening, as well as budget, design, and manage the exposition itself. The theme was an comic designed by various young authors, each of them reporting a specific health profession.

The event gathered partners, politics and local media journalists d-day audience, as well as the random public passing by the Plain de Plainpalais to discover and know more about various health professions.

A signature was developed upstream for the digital and poster communication, visible from the exposition itself, and a memorial video was produced downstream to sustain the impact of the event, using a tailor-composed musical theme.

All of this with a typograph design discretely emphasising her aesthetic approach.

The Swiss Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy association’s website was developed at the same time as the logo was designed. Simultaneous goals were to provide patients a search tool, and provide practitioners with a private space and a media library.

ACT

In 2010, VTS – Vereinte Theater Schaffende der Schweiz needed to rebrand itself in order to affirm its presence among artists throughout Switzerland. In the course of the work and after much brainstorming, the acronym ACT – Association of Theatre Creators – emerged as the new name. The work on design preceded the work on branding. This operation effectively allowed the association to no longer be strictly assimilated to the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
